RAPP Omnicom appoints Alexei Orlov as director of government affairs
World Buyer Experts, part of Omnicom’s DAS group, today appointed Alexei Orlov as director of government affairs. Orlov will assume his role as head of government in July and will report directly to Dale Adams, president and CEO of the DAS Group.
“Alexei has nearly three years of experience as a global expert in model structures, cross-cultural advertising and operational change management,” said Adams. His well-known passion for leading dynamic teams to help and differentiate clients of all sizes, as well as his proven capabilities as a client and agency executive, business strategist and brand intelligence, will add tremendous value to RAPP and, more importantly, to its global network. I am confident that he will bring considerable value to RAPP and, more importantly, to its global client portfolio.
Mr. Orlov joins RAPP from the Volkswagen Group, where he was Director of Advertising for China and ASEAN, its largest region. Previously, he was a senior manager at The Partnership, where he supported FCB’s European projects and large buyers such as BATplc and Future Capital Companions. Prior to that, he held a variety of senior positions at WPP’s Wunderman Worldwide, where he was named vice president in 2005.
His experience spans a wide range of industries, including automotive, FMCG, retail and B2B.
“RAPP is recognized as one of the world’s leading embedded companies in the age of connectivity, connecting manufacturers to people in a compelling and authentic way.” Orlov said. I am honored to have the opportunity to tell the story of the company’s development since then. Thanks to RAPP’s brilliant team and its vast experience and global reach, we are even better able to provide our clients with relevant and effective ways to enable, engage and support their customers and potential buyers. This time, as in the past, we will leverage applied science to combine real-time context with rich content to help our clients better define high-quality, real-time outcomes so they can win and remain a sustainable differentiator.
Orlov succeeds Bob Horvath, who served as CEO for the past eight years and led RAPP through a number of significant changes, including the move to digital and other new media channels. He will continue in his role as global president of RAPP.
Mr. Horvath commented, “Alexei is able to bring new energy and vision to RAPP. I am confident that he will build on the company’s success and lead RAPP and our clients to even greater heights in this dynamic industry.
